Writers

Have you ever met a writer? I haven't. But I'm sure if I did, I would (Cleve witticism here). Writers are very unique people. They are born with some fucked up ideology that they are destined to write some heavenly novel. Every person they meet, every experience they experience, every (another clever witticism) they (the same witticism)ed is put in the back of their head with the thought, "This will be a fantastic addition to my future book". The thing I don't like about writers is that writers think that they have something to say that's worth hearing. I guess a few of them actually do have something to say. But they're all dead now. So...

How big is the internet?

So I learned a little bit about search engines yesterday. Turns out that search engines like google, yahoo, ask.com, msn... they don't cover half the internet. This diagram shows how much of the internet is covered by search engines and how much is hidden from the world. If you know what your doing, you can find ANYTHING on the internet.

Take it Back- Atrocities

This is some excellent hardcore punk rock. And its Christian. These guys definitely have been influenced by set your goals a bit since their last album. This is these guys third album. This is some pretty good stuff. Their single vocalist makes use of higher pitch vocals and growls. The beats are generally pretty slow and heavy.

Brand New- Daisy

Brand New has been one of my favorite bands for a while. I kind of have been going through a crazy lo-fi craze and forgot to get the brand new Brand New album. So anyways, this album is really different. I think its got a bit of a modest mousy feel sometimes, other times its just weird. I would compare their change from indie-emo-punk to really weird indie-punk with the change Taking Back Sunday made with New Again. Except new again sucked as far as I'm concerned.

Oh. Iv'e been listening a bit more, there is a lot of screaming. I wouldn't call it screamo persay, but its something.

Abandon Kansas (Only two songs)

This is a great band. I would say they are heavily influenced by Thrice, and something else. I can't put my finger on it. Definetley some fun pop-rock to have chillin in your itunes. Get it!

School of Language- Sea From Shore

This is a band. They are from England. And they are very not popular and would probably like their music spread around and what not. I'm not sure I have the complete album, as I found every song individually in different places. In particular, listen to "Rockist 1". Fantastic song. These guys are indie-pop and are british sounding. They get a lot of sharp jumps or stops in their songs. Blah I'm done trying to describe it, just get it.
